The Retail Pharmacy Marketing team is responsible for the promotion of the retail class-of-trade businesses in the Pharmaceutical Segment. Team members develop and execute strategic marketing plans and tactical programs to meet business objectives.
Our objectives are to drive market share, retail pharmaceutical distribution growth and retention of key customers and buying groups.

Marketing is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions and competition to inform business strategy. Marketing implements the strategy through developing, commercializing, and monitoring the appropriate products and services.
What the role will be focused on
The Sr. Specialist, Retail Pharmacy Marketingrole will be responsible for coordinating the implementation and execution of key digital marketing initiatives that support the Retail Pharmacy classes of trade including independent pharmacy, strategic accounts, community health centers and long-term care pharmacy customers. This role will report to the Retail Pharmacy Demand and Lead Generation Manager to achieve our business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Own the day-to-day management of internal sales communication sites and the Order Express/Vantus™ HQ Marketing Resource Center, including content lifecycle management, new content creation, metrics, and reporting.
- Support development of marketing messaging and materials such as print, digital, PowerPoint presentations, social media postings, newsletter stories, podcast episodes, etc. and publish through appropriate platforms. Develop written content, as needed.
- Support the development of customer-facing microsite for the Retail Pharmacy classes of trade.
- Work with internal and external teams to develop plans/timelines, create print and digital content, implement other marketing tactics, and manage project deliverables and deadlines. Includes project management, budget management support, logistical support, and additional project responsibilities, as assigned.
- Own end-to-end project management for development and execution of marketing and promotional plans designed to achieve business objectives, including lead generation campaigns, retention campaigns and new business development.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing team for the execution of digital marketing tactics including social media, SEO/SEM, paid search, and targeted email campaigns across the Retail Pharmacy book of business.
- Support the development and creation of various promotional materials for the Cardinal Health Retail Business Conference (RBC).
- Support the development and execution of collateral for industry events, such as trade shows, conferences, association meetings and sales meetings to drive market awareness and lead generation. Including ownership of the schedule of Booth-in-a-Box Tradeshow Kits.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product leaders, sales, account managers, communications business partners, market intelligence and analytics, strategic pricing, creative and digital marketing services, finance, and legal, as well as others.

Skills & Qualifications
- Independent contributor that is detail-oriented with ability to multi-task, and strong project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- An innovative, self-starter who sees ‘ambiguity’ as an opportunity as opposed to a hurdle and thrives on challenging yourself to push beyond conventional thinking.
- Experience writing, reviewing, and editing content for advertising tactics.
- Strong background in customer marketing channels including social media, web, email, as well as field sales team engagement.
- Technologically savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Previous experience with SharePoint, Workfront, CRM/salesforce.com, HIVE productivity and project management platforms desirable.
- Team player who can collaborate and work effectively with multiple people and teams. Experience working in a matrixed environment desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- 1-4 years of experience preferred
- Ability to be on-site on average 3 days a week, preferred.
