Position Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Experience Cloud Community Portal Developer and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team. As a developer specializing in Salesforce Experience Cloud, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining community portals that enhance user engagement and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Salesforce development, with specific expertise in building Experience Cloud communities. You'll use your knowledge of other key technology enablers used within a Customer Service environment such as Computer Telephony Integration, Portal self-service, Knowledge, or Case Management, to define complete solutions for Hancock.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Community Portal Development:
  • Design and develop Experience Cloud community portals tailored to meet business requirements and enhance user experiences.
  • Customize and configure community components, templates, and pages to align with the organization's branding and design guidelines.
Responsive and User Centric Design:
  • Ensure designs are responsive and optimized for various devices, providing a seamless user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
  • Apply user-centered design principles to understand user needs, gather requirements, and create user personas.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their collaboration and engagement needs within the community portal.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement solutions that address specific use cases.
Integration and Data Management:
  • Integrate community portals with internal and external systems to provide a seamless and unified user experience.
  • Implement data synchronization and sharing mechanisms to ensure accurate and secure information exchange.
Custom Development:
  • Develop custom Lightning components and Apex code to extend the functionality of Experience Cloud communities.
  • Implement business logic and workflows to automate processes within the community portal.
User Engagement Features:
  • Implement features to enhance user engagement, including discussion forums, chat functionality, and personalized content recommendations.
  • Optimize community portal layouts and navigation for an intuitive and user-friendly experience.
Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct thorough testing of community portal functionalities to ensure a high level of performance, security, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve identified issues.
Documentation:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for community portal configurations, customizations, and development.
  • Document best practices for community portal development and maintenance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on community portals within the Salesforce Experience Cloud.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successful UI/UX projects and a deep understanding of design principles.
  • Salesforce Certified Community Cloud Consultant or Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant certification.
  • 3 years of experience in developing community portals on the Salesforce Experience Cloud platform.
  • Experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality solutions within the Salesforce platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • At least 2 years of experience in translating functional/non-functional requirements to system requirements in Service Cloud.
  • Good understanding of best practices of coding standards
  • Knowledge of Salesforce data model, security model, and declarative capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferences:
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of responsive web design principles for optimal user experiences across devices.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning components and Aura framework.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to effectively communicate design specifications to development teams.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Design System and design considerations for Salesforce communities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Schedule:
  • Mondays thru Fridays, 9:00am to 6:00pm (approximate)
  • Schedule may change according to business operational needs to include weekend hours
  • Hybrid or Remote

Environmental Factors:
  • Work is performed indoors in a typical office environment
  • Possibility of travel to locations outside of the office environment

Physical Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, squat, and reach above shoulders
  • Hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity including ability to grasp and operate equipment
  • Visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read technical information
