Position Summary:

We’re not solving a small problem, and we’re not addressing a small market. We’re going after returns—the part of online shopping that consumers say they hate most.

As a Senior Revenue Insights Analyst, you will be a strategic business partner and act as a core part of ensuring continued success and scalability across the revenue organization. As an Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for driving the definition, development, and analysis of key metrics and insights to better serve the revenue organization at Happy Returns. You’ll work in an autonomous environment with a large amount of ambiguity. A successful candidate will have a track record of fully owning analytical projects end-to-end while consistently improving on processes over time. Candidates will be responsible for communicating insights and discovering new areas of opportunity through constant communication with key business leaders within the revenue organization.

Role:

• Data Management
  • Develop and maintain databases that will be leveraged across the organization as it relates to key revenue data/metrics, go-to authority for revenue data, structural, and architectural knowledge
  • Integrate disparate systems using 3rd party tools to ensure the data is at the fingertips of the end users
  Participate in the continuous evolution of our data model and data roadmap as we identify more data sources for analysis.
  
• Reporting
  • Leverage your visualization, data storytelling, and communication skills to distill complex problems into concise insights and recommendations for leadership within the revenue organization.
  • Create and manage executive and departmental metrics that measure the success of revenue-driving initiatives, including scheduled reports and easy-to-consume dashboards.
  Driver of key executive reporting across the business, including key KPIs as it relates to sales, customers success and other departments
  
• Analysis
  • Drive adoption of analytics best practices within the revenue organization in areas such as requirements gathering, solution design, data validation, and documentation.
  • Respond to or triage analytics requests with minimal guidance or oversight.
  • Enable effective decision making by identifying, retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable structure and format.

  Common Tasks, Tools Required:
  • Ability to build an effective and well-designed reports and dashboards within Looker
  • Work within Redshift to create tables to enable analysis
  • Report within salesforce of key metrics outside of existing data tables
  • Use data integration tool (Syncari) to enable transformation

Requirements

• 4+ year’s experience in an insights/analytics/data role for a logistics and/or SaaS company
• Has a strong background rooted in eCommerce and/or retail
• Passion for the problem Happy Returns is solving and interested in learning the world of returns and reverse logistics
• Experience with revenue related metrics, such as pipeline velocity, churn, expansion, win rates
• Outstanding project management skills
• The ability to operate in a rapidly-changing and fast-paced environment
• An obsession for details and accuracy, while keeping the bigger picture in mind
