Job Summary Oversees the assigned athletics departments and/or operations. Works closely with other external team members to maintain communication and develop marketing strategies for ticket sales, fundraising, merchandise sales, and event attendance while maintaining a philosophy of Revenue Generation through positive customer service and engagement. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of The Owls Fund annual giving campaign, including the management of direct reports.

Oversees the development and implementation of the strategic revenue initiatives of the Athletics annual giving campaign to include annual events. Initiates donor-related activities, events, and programs focused on annual fund giving with annual goals, to include increased giving, donor base growth, donor retention and student-athlete alumni engagement and giving. Identifies, cultivates and solicits annual fund prospects at all levels, with a focus on prospects at the $1,000 level and above.

Identifies major gift prospects for the Kennesaw State University Athletic Association (KSUAA). Oversees the staff and directs the efforts of the marketing and fans experience department to ensure quality fan experience and growth in attendance. Leads the Ticketing office, staff, and sales team to formulate and execute action plans to increase ticket revenues via proactive solicitations for season, group and individual ticket sales, upselling individual tickets to season or partial season plans.

Compiles, prepares and presents regularly scheduled Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Reports and business plans on areas within oversight which includes marketing, ticketing (operations and sales), The Owls Fund, and serves as an athletics liaison to University Trademark Licensing. Responsibilities Supervises department operations and assigned staff, student assistants and/or volunteers, assists with hiring of staff Strategically designs, implements, and directs a comprehensive ticketing sales and service plan with a primary focus on Revenue Generation and customer retention while maintaining daily oversight of the outside ticket sales team (currently Aspire) Oversees community engagement calendar of events which includes the collective planning and execution of fulfilling appearances and engagements Coordinates ticket sales reporting, audits and develops data analytics and ad hoc reports Manages season, group and individual ticket purchases, player guest admissions, media pass list, recruit admissions for all ticketed sports and university events at sports locations, including seat location Creates and maintains internal controls to ensure proper accounting procedures Works with the compliance department to ensure all procedures related to student-athlete ticketing adhere to NCAA requirements and other governing regulations Plans, organizes and directs the Athletics Annual Fund Plan including renewals, direct mail, telemarketing, on-line giving, and athletics giving activities and events Oversees the disbursement of Owls Fund Benefits highlighted on Owls Fund Benefits Chart for all designated sports and the internal processes of the priority seating program, inclusive of billing and invoicing as it relates to Owls Fund Points Responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of donors to The Owls Fund, focusing on growing and cultivating relations with season ticket holders, annual gift prospects and donors and other supporters of KSU Athletics while assisting the annual fund and major gift officers in the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of top-level annual fund donor for gifts to Intercollegiate Athletics Responsible for the management of the Athletics Hall of Fame Committee and oversight of the execution of committee plan Responsible for the management of the Varsity Club and all aspects of alumni student-athlete engagement for athletics Serve as an Athletics liaison to the University Foundation and Alumni Affairs to coordinate athletics engagement, annual fund, and affinity group initiatives Directs gift processing for all donations to the KSUAA and ensures proper tracking of athletic donations initially delivered to the KSU Foundation Provides support in all operational aspects for regular/post season games both at home and away Works in lock step with multimedia rights holder to develop strategic and innovative Revenue Generation opportunities Liaison to the University Trademark and Licensing Office for Athletics and is responsible for the formulation of execution of plans that directly increase revenue opportunities for the Athletics department Oversee the planning and execution of digital advertising opportunities while working with Athletics creative to define the creative assets needed for such efforts Responsible for working with/overseeing the assigned staff to develop a master email (customer service, Owls Fund, ticket sales, etc.) strategy and operational procedures for the athletics department Supervises the athletics marketing and fan experience team to ensure sound marketing, promotional, and fan experience plans for all sports are created annually, executed accordingly, and evaluated at seasons end to ensure improved efforts annually Position will serve on several campus and community committees that are focused on strategically growing engagement with KSU Athletics Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education Other Required Qualifications Current, valid, and unrestricted drivers license Required Experience Seven (7) years of experience related to position Preferred Qualifications Additional Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Adobe Creative suite Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations Preferred Educational Qualifications Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education Preferred Experience Marketing and digital advertising experience Development and/or Sales Experience Previous experience in Paciolan Ticketing Software, Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or other CRM system Annual Fund Experience Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities ABILITIES Able to represent the Athletics Ticket Office at select home and away sporting events Able to represent the Department of Athletics at business and community events, i.e., Business Associations, Chambers, etc. Able to work with diverse populations Able to work and interact with staff, faculty, and student-athletes Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations SKILLS Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, ticketing software and CRM systems) Strong attention to detail and follow up skills Strong customer service skills
