Our innovative technologies and proven expertise help manufacturers in the Americas to be more efficient, reliable and profitable.  FANUC America Corporation is currently searching for an IOT Senior Research and Development Engineer to work in our Rochester Hills, MI based Research & Development group responsible for the development of industry leading cloud and on-prem based Robot Analytics systems.  

Primary responsibilities include:

• Identify trends and functions through analysis of complex data sets.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robot analytic software for cloud and on premises environments.
• Design and implement the analytic data transmission software inside real time embedded system as well as data presentation in web interface.
• Complete controller and analytic software developments by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
• Specification, design, implementation, testing, documentation and customer support of software developments.
• Development and implementation of product tests and product test procedures.
• Present a proposed product concept to selling division and select customers.
• Ability to develop project schedules.

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

• Bachelor's Degree required, Master or Ph.D. degree in Computer/Data Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related filed preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience or equivalent research activity.
• Machine learning or data analytics experiences a plus
• Excellent aptitude for software and software development tools
• Ability to implement and debug advanced real time software systems.
• Basic aptitude for technical writing and typing skills
