The Kargbo-Hill lab is seeking a dynamic and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team and contribute to the establishment of our brand-new laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity to join and help build our group from the ground up!
We are located in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCDB) department at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor Campus. Our research delves into the mechanisms by which neurons regulate gene expression programs, navigating the challenges posed by aging and neurodegenerative diseases. We are especially interested in how neurons use alternative RNA splicing and DNA demethylation to aid survival. We use a variety of model systems and techniques, including human iPSC-derived neurons, C. elegans and multi-`omics approaches.
The successful candidate will help set up, organize, and manage our lab located in the Biological Sciences Building. You will report directly to Dr. Kargbo-Hill.
