The Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Studies (CIMAS) of the University of Miami invites applications for a Sr. Research Associate II position in Data Processing and Application Development
Applicants must have a Masters degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 1 year work experience in software engineering, program development and data processing particularly for scientific data. The principal objective of the position is the automation of Fisheries Data processing efforts in close collaboration with scientists and information technology specialists at CIMAS, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA's), Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC), Miami Florida. Fluency in English is required. Experience with the following technologies is required:
Software

• RDBMS: Oracle Enterprise Edition 19c+
• Oracle SQL Developer or similar tools such as TOAD or PL/SQL Developer
• Oracle APEX
• Oracle database design and pl/sql language.

• Apache Foundation
• Apache Struts Framework
• Eclipse (Java)
• JSP - Java Server Pages
• Java Script
• HTML

Other

• PC-NFS TCP/IP Communications interface
• FTP & Internet Communications interface
• API Development
