We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Associate to join the Protein Sciences department to accelerate pre-clinical therapeutic programs. The position will be primarily responsible for laboratory protein science work at 3T Biosciences including protein expression, purification and characterization.
Your Typical Responsibilities:
- Routine maintenance of mammalian cell cultures and transient transfection in HEK and CHO cell lines
- High-throughput small scale purifications to large scale protein production using affinity, ion exchange, and size exclusion chromatography
- Protein characterization including conformational, stability, as well as other biophysical attributes using analytical SEC, CE-SDS, SDS-PAGE, DSF and LC-MS
- Support protein engineering work with small scale purification and characterization of novel targets
- Independently execute experiments, analyze results, and maintain a meticulous record of the data and sample tracking
- Present research updates at project team meetings
- Work collaboratively with supervisor and other cross functional team members.
Required Qualifications:
- S. and/or M.S. degree in biochemistry, molecular biology or related discipline with 3+ years of industry experience
- Hands-on experience with cell culture maintenance and transient transfection in mammalian expression systems
- Experience in protein purification using AKTA system with affinity, SEC, IEX and HIC
- Proficiency in protein characterization tools including SDS-PAGE, HPLC and CE-SDS
- Prior experience working with bi-specifics and T-cell engagers
- Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Strong teamwork, communication and excellent record keeping in ELN
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment
The annual salary range for this position is $95,000 USD to $115,000 USD. This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this posted position and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation individual education, experience, tenure, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible for annual performance bonus, benefits, paid time off and participation in company stock options.
