Founded in 2001, LEARN is a network of high-performing college preparatory, tuition-free public elementary and middle schools with the mission of providing children with the academic foundation and ambition to earn a college degree. There are 11 LEARN Schools serving 4,100 students in grades PK-8 across Chicago, Waukegan, North Chicago, and Washington, D.C.

What You'll Do:
We are seeking an entrepreneurial self-starter with excellent project management skills and a keen eye for talent to join the HR team as a Senior Recruiter. This person will play a critical role in leading our efforts to staff our schools with world-class talent. As a member of a rapidly expanding organization, this position promises to be fast-paced and full of opportunity to implement new and impactful initiatives.
Must have experience hiring within Education. A strong network of contacts for teachers in the North Chicago/Waukegan area is a plus!
Responsibilities:
Manage the full-cycle recruiting, hiring, and placement process securing high-quality talent for all open school base positions
Identify, cultivate, and influence top candidates to apply to LEARN
Utilize innovative recruiting techniques to proactively source candidates through the use of the internet, social media, partnerships, networking, etc.
Collaborate and conduct intakes with Principals and hiring managers to identify and track their specific hiring needs
Implement necessary sourcing strategies to include a variety of methods of attracting top talent and maintain talent pipelines for assigned target areas
Select and qualify candidates based upon skill, culture, and motivational fit, utilizing behavioral based approach and screening criteria
Actively source and present exceptional candidates
Creates exceptional candidate experience from initial contact to extending an offer, assists across the Network with staff recruiting, including advising on advertising and outreach methods, sourcing candidates, pre screening resumes, interviewing candidates, checking references, and advising on salary levels.
Devise new and innovative approaches to recruitment outreach and selection processes
Identify and maintain partnerships with key organizations to develop talent pipelines
Develop and execute methods to track recruitment metrics to aid in strategy evaluation and drive process efficiencies
Attend and assist with the coordination and execution of recruitment events and fairs
Support the HR team with ad-hoc projects as necessary
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree or related experience
3-5 years of direct high-volume recruitment experience in a fast-paced work environment or prior experience as an Assistant Principal, Principal, Instructional Coach or in a school based Manager level role with strong interviewing skills with the ability to hire effective talent.
Prior background with recruiting/sourcing in the education space. Extensive rolodex of contacts within the school systems a huge plus (teachers)
Teaching or Charter experience is a plus.
Experience working through an ATS with strong sourcing ability on LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and networking events a plus
Ability to multi-task and persevere in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a sense of urgency.
Must have a proven track record of success and be a competitive, self-motivated individual.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Majority of work is performed in a general office environment. Position requires availability for extended hours plus non-traditional hours required to perform job duties. Also requires participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings.
