JOB DESCRIPTION
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 4 Years Degree in computer science or closely related field
- 8+ years of related IT experience.
- 6+ years of experience in Performance testing including cloud-native web, windows, mobile application, services, and legacy software.
- 3+ years of object-oriented programming experience, such as C#, Java, and Ruby.
- 3+ years of experience in tools like JMeter, K6, Blaze meter, Gatlin
- 3+ years of SQL experience and an ability to write intermediate to complex SQL queries.
- 2+ years of experience providing work direction and leading automation.
- Experience in analyzing and reviewing requirement documents, functional and non-functional specifications and developing strategy and recommendations.
- Experience in analyzing system architecture and provide feedback to the team on improving the application performance.
- Leveraging skills in data analysis, network diagnostics and debugging tools to characterize performance, reliability, scalability, and capacity of large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience in building and maintaining a scalable, portable, configurable Performance testing framework in large scale cloud environment.
- Identifying root cause of operational issues and designing tools to help predict and prevent reoccurrence.
- Experience with modern software engineering practices (DevOps. ATDD, TDD, CI/CD, Agile Development)
- Experience with Java-based, C# and object-oriented based libraries, frameworks, and IDEs
- Experience using a variety of Performance testing and monitoring tools such as VSTS Webload Test, JMeter, Load Runner, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics and other modern leading tools.
- A self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment in collaboration within the team and with other teams at Health Partners
- Demonstrates strong leadership as an advocate for product performance, is results oriented and has a high degree of accountability, commitment, and responsibility.
- 2+ years of experience in Mobile performance testing in iPhone, Android using leading tools.
- Experience with performance diagnostics, performance architecture design, performance tuning, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and/or software development in a n-tier environment
- Experience with Quality tools like JIRA, Zephyr, ZAPI, MTM, TFS, and other test management tools
- Experience in the Health Care industry (preferred not required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in performance engineering
Location/Hours:
- M-F; Days
- This is a hybrid/remote position and will prefer local/regional candidates for occasional on-site needs.
Accountabilities:
- Helps develop an overall performance testing strategy that outlines specific tools, strategies, and expectations for both cloud-native web applications and services and legacy software.
- Identifies strategies and approaches to reduce overall performance issues and backlogs.
- Helps formulate and lead the development of effective performance test architecture and framework per organizational needs.
- Builds and maintains scalable, portable, configurable Performance test engineering solutions using different performance engineering tools and methods.
- Partners with the application architects to identify specific infrastructure components (hardware, software, database, etc.) for architectural and tuning improvements.
- Configures test environments, tools to prepare for performance tests.
- Conducts performance prototyping, system capacity modeling and projections, performance driven design, application profiling and baselining to measure and improve system performance.
- Writes performance test plans and scripts and conducts performance tests.
- Develops and communicates performance, load and stress testing goals, priorities, and status.
- Helps product teams maximize performance testing in support of continuous delivery.
- Helps develop and support a diverse performance testing toolchain that can be leveraged by multiple product teams.
- Evaluate and research emerging performance tuning methodologies, monitoring tools, processes, and technologies.
- Provides technical leadership, engineering solutions, and strategic direction for performance improvement.
- Mentors’ product team members regarding performance testing and quality practices
- Understands and applies software engineering principles with respect to performance and code quality.
- Helps teams formulate and develop robust test data management solutions for performance testing and other needs.
- Provides subject matter expertise in performance monitoring, tuning, analysis, and diagnostics.
- Performs additional job duties as required.
