The City of Wentzville is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Projects Manager for our Engineering Department. In this position, you will oversee advanced and complex city capital improvement projects from development to completion. As a subject matter expert, you will operate independently, ensuring the successful execution of projects.
Essential Job Duties:
Exceptional Customer Service: Provide respectful, professional, and positive service in all interactions with co-workers, internal and external customers, community members, and the public.
Compliance and Productivity: Maintain a positive and productive environment by ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, goals, and objectives of the City, Department, and Division.
Contract Administration: Administer construction and design contracts to guarantee compliance with contract terms, city standards, and county and state requirements.
Specification Development: Develop standardized specifications and seamlessly integrate them into comprehensive contract documents for various projects and services.
Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest modifications to enhance departmental performance.
Funding Support: Prepare documents and gather data for outside funding sources, including project descriptions, location maps, conceptual plans, cost estimates, accident data, pavement condition, and letters of support.

Job Qualifications Education, experience, and training that are required or desirable in order to effectively perform the job at the time of hire. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements and/or substitutions may be requested and require the approval of HR.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
- Additional job experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Public Works, Construction, or a similar work environment is required.
- Additional job-related advanced degrees or certifications may be considered in lieu of experience.
- MoDOT LPA Certification and MoDOT or NICET/ACI Certifications for Concrete are required within 180 days of employment.
- Valid driver's license is required
