Summary
The Senior Software Project Manager position will be responsible for the leadership of Software Projects within Technology Development. This position plans, coordinates and leads the execution of activities to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and funding parameters. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering project results, executive communication, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership. Knowledge of construction or manufacturing practices is a plus. Travel may be required within the continental United States to support projects and PMO team requirements.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Lead the execution of assigned product development projects in accordance with established processes and procedures.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional team performance toward the goal of completing projects according to the defined objectives and financial return on investment considerations.
  • Development and implementation of complex project management plans and schedules.
  • Maintain and demonstrate excellent and diplomatic interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with all levels of personnel and management within the organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Sales & Customer Experience teams to support delivery of the project's product to customers.
  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors as required.
  • Accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
  • Effectively utilize problem solving skills and techniques to identify potential issues, risk assessment impacts and develop and implement associated mitigation and resolution plans.
  • Prepare and/or manage the preparation of all required project documentation, including the production of project reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
  • This position may require travel up to 20%.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field preferred. Additional, equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 7+ years of project management experience, running complex projects.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for successfully managing projects of varying complexity within the specified guidelines, timeframes, and budgets.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or CAPM certification highly desired.
  • Experience working in a PMO and with governance processes such as stage gate is highly preferred.
  • Advanced ability to plan, organize, communicate, and execute an array of activities from simple tasks and complex projects to deliver results in a timely and fiscally responsible manner with personal accountability.
  • Knowledge of multiple SDLC methodologies, standards, procedures, and organization that contribute to the development and deployment of technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies, including agile ways of working.
  • Ability to create development project schedules (Gantt or similar) in Microsoft Project or similar applications.
  • Exceptional leadership, team building, facilitation, written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and simultaneously manage multiple projects and teams.
  • Self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a global functional organization.
