Hughes Engineering & Consulting is hiring for a SeniorProject Manager role to lead cradle-to-grave capital engineering projects within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Typical projects include aseptic fill/finish/packaging, bioprocessing, facilities/utilities, and automation integration.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals with client management and assist with vendor selection process
- Determines/Develops project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
- Assist with Technical evaluations/project task on capital projects from the concept CAR funding stages through procurement, installation, startup, and commissioning.
- Assists with the development of project schedules by studying project specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
- Serve as direct liaison between Hughes' client and the client's design and construction teams
- Control project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contract and invoice verification
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions
- Collaborate with on-site client teams for plant shutdowns and service interruptions
You will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical preferred)
- 10+ years of combined project engineering and project management experience within a cGMP or FDA regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience supporting and leading capital equipment, utilities and/or facilities projects during the Pre-construction, Contract Management, Execution, Start-up or Turnover phases.
- Proven history of being self-motivated and capable of working in diverse team situations with clients and maintaining a positive attitude towards project challenges.
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Air Handler and controls systems knowledge for buildings
