NEHP and ENGVT are an EPC (engineer, procure, construct) firm with locations in Williston, VT, Dallas, TX, and Phoenix, AZ. We specialize in the design and off-site construction of process piping systems for semiconductor fabrication facilities. The chip production infrastructure in the US is expanding at a record-breaking pace, with new fabs being built by major players like Intel, Micron, Samsung, TSMC, and Global Foundries all over the US. The Senior Engineer will collaborate with the engineering team supporting NEHP's large scale modular construction projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee assigned engineers and engineering activities.
- Execute and manage engineering scope of work for assigned projects.
- Resident subject matter expert for projects; must be able to oversee multiple projects, be innovative and able to communicate effectively across departments in different degrees of technical detail.
- Obtain necessary project data and interpret project specifications and requirements.
- Maintain that all work is of high quality, and review work at critical times during the development of each phase of a project.
- Contribute to engineering production as needed including 3D CAD Modeling and drawing detailing of Process Piping and Ductwork Systems.
- Provide leadership and training.
- Plan and effectively utilize the general time to advance the quality and efficiency of the office.
- This position operates in a professional office environment but may also require travel to project locations, both client offices and active construction sites.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and manage engineering team members. Management of team varies with project and task. Work directly with other Senior Engineers. Reports to Engineering Manager.
SPECIFICATIONS and QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to be self-motivated and directed.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Strong CAD skills with Revit and Navisworks experience.
- Strong Detailed pipe design skills in process, manufacturing and HVAC applications.
- Thorough understanding of construction procedures, fabrication drawing detailing requirements, and contract document (bid document) requirements.
- A solid foundation in engineering skills, training, and education.
- Detail oriented with the ability to focus for extended periods of time.
Education and/or Experience
A 4-year degree in engineering with 10-15+ years of project experience which must include project management, staff supervision, and client relationships is required. Professional registration is also required.
SKILLS
- Strong organizational skills are critical to success in this role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and staff are absolutely critical.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small and large groups.
- Strong organizational skills are critical to success in this role.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply mathematical skills and analyze data. Experience applying structured problem-solving and decision-making tools and methods.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies and provide solutions; Ability to identify problems, collect information, establish facts, and suggest solutions; Ability to develop and support conclusions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent communication (verbal and listening), standing and reaching is required. Vision abilities required by this job include close-up reading and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is usually quiet. Safety glasses and other required protection required to be worn when on client jobsites or in manufacturing areas.
