(Senior) Product Designer - Lending

Clutch is transforming lending for credit unions to enhance the financial well-being of US consumers. The average American carries over $155,000 in household debt. Unlike fintech lenders and for-profit banks that often issue high-interest loans, credit unions operate as non-profit lenders offering lower cost loans.Clutch , an Andreessen Horowitz backed vertical SAAS company, develops software that empowers credit unions to function as fintech lenders and responsibly lend to over 130M Americans. Our rapid growth has seen us expand from a single-digit customer base to a diverse portfolio of medium to very large enterprise customers.

About the team

• We are an ambitious  team of Product Designers & product managers passionate about redefining lending and account opening via credit unions. Our vision is to establish credit unions as market leaders in lending through consumer/fintech grade member experiences that integrate seamlessly with enterprise backends.At Clutch, our design team is instrumental in turning this vision into reality.

Your responsibilities

• Lead the design for new features and enhancements ensuring seamless user (consumer) as well as customer(credit union) experience
• Conduct user research and usability testing to ground designs in user and customer insights 
• Deeply listen to users and bring insights to shape the product Leverage data to inform design decisions and iterate on existing features 
• Design multiple concepts and prototypes rapidly, understanding when to apply a visionary approach, detail-oriented approach, or when to make low-fi sketches
• Advocate for design best practices and lead the definition of our design system Report directly to the 'Head of Product ' to shape a strong human centered design culture at Clutch

Skillset you will bring

• Expertise in design craft and quality with a strong product sensibility- whether it's visual or interaction design, typography, or pixel perfect deliverables
• Strong portfolio showcasing experience in designing complex B2B (or B2B2C products), preferably in the fintech sector Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and a strong eye for visual design
• Proven capability to balance user and business needs,  the right balance of  rigor and scrappiness. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, startup environment
• Experience conducting user research and translating insights into design solutions
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills 
• 5+ years of experience in product design with focus on fintech products. B2B2C experience is a bonus
• Experience with financial products is a must. Experience with lending/credit products is a plus
