As our Senior Planning Engineer, you will provide your technical expertise and guide power system analysis studies that help facilitate MISO's generation interconnection process. You will also be provided with opportunities to guide and interact with our interconnection customers and transmission owners, participate in process improvement initiatives, and project management, and take ownership of specific processes.
In one year as our Senior Planning Engineer, you will know you are successful if you:
- Provide guidance and mentorship in the administration of simulations and technical analysis.
- Function as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of MISO's regions.
- Prepare and deliver pertinent communication and data to our customers.
- Make significant contributions to what is already a highly functional team.
Our Senior Planning Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering along with at least seven years of power industry experience running load flow studies using PSSE and TARA.
A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
