GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:
This role directly reports to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for coordinating all processes related to the efficient discharge of vessels cargo. This includes the timely dispatch of containers to Dole customers and carrier partners. The overall objective is to optimize the discharge process and ensure customer satisfaction.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
• Monitoring equipment inventories, including chassis, gensets, and containers, as well as fruit inventories located in 40ft refrigerated containers or cold storage facilities.
• Utilizing both internal and external sources, updating reports from electronic communication with partners and/or in-person.
• Coordinate Union Labor for both vessel and yard operations through local partner or Stevedore, ensuring efficient discharge and dispatch processes.
• Provide oversight and planning for vessel operations, ensuring accurate discharge based on Customer needs, along with the required load back of both cargo and empty containers requested by Latin America
• Coordinate blending of fruit or mixing of product, providing accurate inventories by commodity, sufficient labor, and cold storage space needed to execute the process.
• Communicate and maintain relationships with Government agencies, to ensure the timely release of any USDA, CBP, and other types of holds for our product.

External Relations
With Whom: Suppliers/Terminal Operators, Port Authority, Stevedore, 3rd Party Trucking
External Auditors/ 3rd Party Auditors (example: KPMG), Government Agencies

Required Experience
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION:
College preferred or related program in the field of Logistics.
Experience: 2-5 years
