An immediate opening for a proven hospitality professional to assist and oversee all aspects of the front of house. Supervise and train staff. Confer with back of house and Chef/Owners to ensure flow of service, update menus, and other related activities. Contribute to our standards of service and excellence. This position offers a highly motivated individual the ability to oversee an already successful restaurant while working with ownership to find new avenues for growth.
Areas of responsibilities include but not limited to:
- hiring and interviewing potential FOH candidates
- managing the reservations and guest communications
- foster a culture in which customer & staff satisfaction is of equal concern
- managing and training FOH staff
- interacting with guests to ensure that we are exceeding their expectations
- being the liaison between the BOH and the FOH to ensure we have harmonious teamwork
- assisting with the training of the beverage program (small cocktail/beer/wine list)
- familiarity with Toast/OpenTable and other software systems required
- accurately record the end of night closeout/Cash handling procedures
- accurately handle schedules for FOH/Ordering of Linens for the FOH-BOH
- assist in maintaining employee files/On Boarding of Employees/Payroll Duties; Functions
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a full-service Fine-Casual restaurant
- A genuine passion for the hospitality industry combined with solid food and alcohol knowledge
- Must possess a hospitable and approachable demeanor combined with impeccable service standards and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work 50 hours a week/Flexible schedule/Weekends/Sundays
- Proven ability to lead others and positively influence employee behavior with a "lead by example" mentality
- Ability to multitask in any environment while always maintaining your sense of humor and appearing calm
- Ability to interact with all types of team members and build relationships with guest
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Must have good working computer knowledge of basic restaurant systems: Word and Excel
