ResponsibilitiesThe primary purpose of the Senior NGL Scheduler is to be responsible for various day-to-day scheduling tasks associated with rail cars, trucks, barges, vessels, and pipeline movements to ensure timely NGL product delivery to customers and coordinate activities within their area between other schedulers into a full area schedule involving all other movements, product, assets, etc. This includes the nomination processes and reconciling of purchase, sale, exchange and inventory transactions within company ETRM systems. Duties include:
- Schedule the domestic transportation for natural gas liquids by pipeline, truck, rail, barge or vessel, including movements in and out of storage and plants, as well as volumes received or delivered at 3rd party plants and pipelines.
- Work as a liaison between Operations and the NGL Marketing personnel to plan and optimize NGL product movements; work with Marketing to confirm priorities between the schedules based on operational and market conditions.
- Take a lead role in orchestrating all schedulers and their movements across the EnLink NGL footprint.
- Maintain communication and exchange accurate information and data with customers/shippers to track, balance, account and report NGL volumes and movements.
- The role will include working closely with company personnel, including plant operators, loaders, quality testers, marketers, and other schedulers. Interact with third-party contacts to facilitate efficient product movement.
- Endeavor to gain knowledge of marketing deals and commodity movements to facilitate accuracy of processing commodity movements in the various corporate systems. Will be expected to lead the process of identifying areas of improvement and making recommendations to other internal groups and participating in the development of those improvements.
- Communicate with operations daily for plant status and any updates or operational issues that would affect scheduling activities.
- Communicate with other schedulers to ensure understanding of overall status of the system.
- Lead efforts related to month-end close process in their area of control (will be expected to gather status updates and relay information to management).
- Capitalize on any opportunities to increase cash flow/revenue by constant contact with Marketer and "creative" scheduling.
- Develop good working relationships with customers by providing open lines of communication.
- Responsible for ensuring that documentation is received, coded, booked and forwarded to accounting when necessary.
- Act as a mentor to junior schedulers to aid in their own development and growth.
- Be the 'Subject Matter Expert' on scheduling-related activity within their area of control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Business-related degree preferred but not required.
- 7 or more years of experience in the logistics and commercial aspects of NGL; experience in commercial/economic evaluation is a plus.
- Experience with a variety of operational/field concepts, practices, and procedures required. Experience with different areas of emphasis within the NGL Stream is a plus (Supply, Truck & Rail, Pipeline, Marine, etc)
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships within the industry.
- Ability to lead collaboration with other team members and throughout the organization. A wide degree of creativity, latitude, and self-motivation is expected.
- Experience with industry software systems - Open Link Right Angle preferred. Power BI experience is a plus.
