THE ROLE: Senior Network Engineer
Job Summary:
As a Senior Network Engineer your primary responsibilities will include performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of network and security solutions. The optimal candidate will be a senior consulting engineer with 7+ years of network consulting experience with emphasis on Security, Routing/Switching and Automation & DevOps and experience working in a similar industry (System Integrator).
- LAN/WAN routing and switching design, configuration and deployment in small to very large and complex environments including Internet Edge architectures
- Provide Network Engineering consulting services, including assessment, design and implementation of network and security products/solutions
- Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance.
Travel Requirements:
In this role you will be expected to travel up to 20% to client sites.
Job Requirements:
- Expert-level experience with design, implementation and support of the following:
- Complex routing/switching (Cisco IOS/Nexus)
- Cisco ACI
- Cisco DNA
- Cisco ISE
- Programmable Infrastructure (APIs, Scripting, Python, JSON, Containers)
Required Skills:
- Possess experience and demonstrate expertise in at least three or more of the following areas:
- Authentication solutions including 802.1x/RADIUS/TACACS, Cisco ACS and RSA
- Wireless (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba)
- Firewall platforms (Cisco ASA / FirePOWER / FTD, Palo Alto)
- SD-WAN platforms (Cisco Viptela, Silver Peak, VeloCloud)
- Load balancing/Acceleration solutions (Cisco, F5, Citrix, Riverbed)
- Familiarity with additional core technologies (PRIME, SPLUNK, SolarWinds, OpenNMS, ESXi)
- Hybrid cloud integrations with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent experience and/or military experience
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience providing project deliverables in a VAR/Integrator environment
- Active Cisco® CCIE certificate or equivalent experience
