SalaryLooking for an individual with at least 5 years of RECENT experience as a Medical Office assistant or similar position. Must know how to use insurance websites and phone numbers to verify insurance, perform prior authorizations for neurological procedures, and obtain pre-certifications. Must be experienced with using EMR/Practice management systems.
Experience with workers' comp is preferred.
Experience with Kareo practice management is a plus.
Experiencing with Elation Health a plus.
Office managerial skills is a must.

Duties:
- Answer phone calls and voicemails
- Check patient messages daily
- Verify insurance
- Perform prior authorizations
- Schedule appointments
- Scan intake forms and insurance cards
- Input patient demographics
- Collect copays
- Collect patient balances
- Document payment
- Take Vitals
- Communicate effectively with case managers and insurance adjusters
- Coordinate referrals
- Follow up with daily and weekly tasks
- Help keep office organized and efficient
- Schedule business appointments
