We have an immediate need for a Senior Medical Assistant who will be relocating out of the area.
Tired of jumping around from clinic to clinic? We are too....The position we have available is for someone who wants to make a career out of this position. The job duties will go beyond duties that are part of a routine clinic, and will be very rewarding in changing the lives of patients/clients. This Senior Medical Assistant needs to have a willingness to expand their abilities beyond the capabilities of a routine Medical Assistant with skill sets similar to a nurse without needing the nursing degree.
In addition to having the routine ability to perform basic vitals, you will need to adapt and pay attention to the details in doing various responsibilities in managing patients/clients in a proactive form of medicine.
These duties include but are not limited to:
-- Supervise clinical workflows and team assignments to ensure seamless flow between front and back office.
-- Max Pulse, In Body, Pulmonary Function testing, Arterial Elasticity testing, Skin Elasticity testing, etc. (the coordinator will be taught these various skills but will then need to implement effectively)
-- IV therapy management -- creating IV solutions, ordering various inventory for IV solutions, tracking IV solution recipients, etc. (Again, training will occur with the expectation of the coordinator to input his/her changes to current protocols)
-- Lab/Data management -- need to create requisitions and collect and process clinical specimens to ensure delivery of collected specimens to the appropriate labs, set up system of retrieval of the data in an organized, monitored fashion
-- pharmacy/supplement tracking and ordering -- will assist physician in ensuring prompt delivery of supplements and medicines to patient through both in house and outside suppliers and pharmacies
-- phone call triage
-- follow up with clients
-- Ensure consistent and adequate inventory and call & receive orders
-- Oversee maintenance of all logs and records for OSHA/HIPAA.
-- Demonstrate proper sterilization and disinfection practices throughout the facility and hold MA staff accountable to same standard, including proper bio-hazardous or “red bag” waste policy and procedure for proper disposal of biomedical waste and hold MA staff accountable to same standard.
-- other tasks related to unique training in this new field of proactive medicine that can include assisting in minor surgeries, aiding in device enhancement to patients (ie Emsella, Emsculpt, EVO Pen, Pellet therapy, Neuromodulators and fillers, etc.)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
