Glen Park at Valley Village is now looking for someone to join our team in a medication technician role!
As a leader in the senior housing industry, Glen Park is looking for medication technicians who are enthusiastic about providing compassionate care for seniors in an Assisted Living environment. - Assist with the basic needs of an RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly).
- Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
- Administer medication to residents in accordance with Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code.
- Order and reorder medication for residents, following explicit physician instructions.
- Monitor the resident’s medication administration records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician and/or Administrator.
- Progressive documentation and communication with the physician and /or medical professionals.
- Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
- Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals to reduce pain while promoting engagement and independence.
- Maintains good composure during emergencies.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Mandatory Live-Scan Clearance and TB test and CPR/AED certification are required upon job offer.
- Must also have previous experience as a caregiver who is familiar with managing 20-plus residents within an 8-hour shift.
- Compensation is based on experience.
Requirements upon job offer:
- Live-Scan Fingerprint Clearance (company will reimburse after 60 days)
- Negative T.B. and Health Screening
- Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)
- CPR/AED certification
