As a Senior level Mechanical Engineer in the Jacobs CMS - Nuclear Projects and Consulting business unit you will work with other engineers and designers to perform HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping designs. Additional responsibilities will include coordination with other disciplines, working with Mechanical Engineers, and designers/engineers in other disciplines to deliver a fully coordinated and collaborated project. Additionally, engineer will follow established Jacobs quality procedures and ensures that all work accomplished under their control is accomplished under established quality procedures.

Qualifications External:
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
- 15 years in industrial/government design of Mechanical, HVAC, B31.3 Piping, Plumbing Systems, and related mechanical building systems
- Demonstrate experience of delivering a range of projects from concept through detailed design completion
- Able to lead a group of engineers and designers to complete technical portions of projects within established budgets and schedules
- Competent using discipline specific technical software such as: Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE, PipeFlo, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.
- Knowledge of building codes & standards (International Mechanical Code, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.)
- Engineering Registration (PE) required

May be exposed to areas of high noise levels, hazardous propellants, explosives, chemicals and industrial facilities
Physical Requirements:
Appropriate PPE and training will be provided for all conditions.
Must be able to move and sit for extended periods (100%) as well as and lift up to 35 lbs (25%).Vision correctable to 20/20. Candidate must have the ability to read and use SmartPlant design software unassisted.
