Job description

Hillel International, the world's largest Jewish college student organization, is currently searching for a highly skilled and innovative Senior Manager of High School and Teen Marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for providing and promoting opportunities to guide Jewish students and their families on the journey from High School to Hillel, through a combination of digital, social media, and event-based marketing.
The primary objective of this position is to equip Jewish teens and their families with the necessary information to navigate the college selection process, connect with their campus Hillels, and become well-informed and motivated leaders in their campus communities. You will lead the creation and execution of digital marketing initiatives targeted towards High School students and families, and organize in-person events-based marketing to engage with these audiences.
The Senior Manager of High School and Teen Marketing will be part of a robust Marketing and Communications team that is focused on all aspects of the Jewish college experience - from navigating the college selection process in High School to opportunities for current college students to promoting continued connections for alumni. This role will report to the Director of Student and Alumni Marketing and is a fully remote position.
What you'll do:

  • Lead, plan, and execute digital and social media marketing of Hillel International's opportunities for High School students and families, such as Hillel's first-year welcome gift and College Guide Magazine.
  • Create compelling and engaging marketing content to promote these campaigns across digital and social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, email, SMS, and more.
  • Use strategic audience segmentation to target marketing collateral to Jewish High School students and families across paid social media, and via email using Salesforce CRM.
  • Bridge the transition from High School to Hillel and promote opportunities for Jewish college students by building and maintaining relationships with organizations that serve Jewish teens, including RootOne, BBYO, NFTY, USY, JNF, and more.
  • Plan and lead Hillel's marketing presence, speaker and panel opportunities, and stakeholder presence at 6-8 annual conferences and events for Jewish teens, including BBYO's International Convention, NFTY/USY conventions, and more.
  • Work closely with Hillel International's measurement team to identify where incoming Jewish students will be attending college, ensure that information is shared quickly and efficiently with campus Hillels, and measure outcomes of those connected students.
  • Work closely with Hillel International's engagement team to share best practices for engaging first-year students with campus Hillel professionals to maximize the effectiveness of this "bridge" from High School opportunity to campus engagement.
  • Create and implement new promotional opportunities for these audiences, including virtual events, partner fairs, etc.

What you'll bring:
  • 5-7 years of experience in digital and social media marketing, and/or event marketing
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating compelling content across a variety of digital platforms, including native social media tools, email marketing platforms (EMPs), and content management systems (CMS)
  • A proven track record of planning and executing successful marketing campaigns, with clear and measurable KPIs and outcomes
  • Superior communication skills, including superb writing ability, which will be used to interact with colleagues, partners, and audience members, especially through digital and social media
  • Strong graphic design ability using Adobe Suite, Canva, and similar design software
  • Fluency in creating audience segmentation using a CRM, database, or native digital tools
  • Experience in planning and execution of event marketing - in person, virtual, or both
  • Video creation experience, using digital and platform-native editing and production tools
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including meeting deadlines and creating and managing a content calendar across multiple platforms
  • Creative mind, problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and passion for Jewish life a plus

What you'll get out of it:
  • Hillel offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, Group Supplemental Retirement Annuity (GSRA), pension plan, life insurance, Long Term Disability (LTD), Flexible Spending Plan, unlimited vacation, generous sick time, and parental leave.
  • Salary range: $65,000-$85,000
  • Remote position. Please note that to be considered, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States. While we fully support remote work, we do require employees to be based in the United States. Hillel International maintains an office in Washington D.C.
  • Be part of an incredible team, at the forefront of creating content that reaches hundreds of thousands of High School students and families every year
  • Great professional development, mentoring, and skill-building opportunities.
