Who are we hiring?
The Senior Manager, Group Ticket Sales, is responsible for leading and managing the group sales efforts for Sphere. This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Sales Managers and Account Executives and ensuring the successful implementation of Group Ticket Sales strategies. The person will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through effective team management, collaboration, and strategic planning. This person will be accountable for implementing department business plans designed to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
What will you do?
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor and manage a team of Group Ticket Sales managers, providing guidance, support, and professional development. Foster a positive, high-performance culture, promoting collaboration, motivation, and customer-focused mindset.
- Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive group sales strategies to achieve and exceed target and align with overall sales objectives.
- Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Establish and communicate clear sales revenue goals for the group sales team and regularly assess individual and team performance against targets. Provide team with appropriate feedback and direction for development.
- Work with Data & Analytics team to maintain and manage detailed engagement and pipeline records and metrics covering all sales activity within CRM system.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a point of escalation for key client relationships, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs within the group sales team and coordinate training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge. Support and guide the sales team during prospect, customer engagement and customer service needs.
- Implement sales blueprint and training materials that include best practices, standard operating procedures, and other applicable guidelines for accountability purposes.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that can contribute to the success of the group sales initiatives. Assist with the creation, planning, communication, and execution of all Ticket Sales campaigns, special projects, contests, events, and programs.
- Ensure sales materials are accurate and updated to reflect ongoing changes.
What do you need to succeed?
- 3-5 years' experience in a Ticket Sales environment; preferably within the entertainment or broader hospitality industry such as hotel or sports.
- 1-2 years' experience managing, leading, and coaching a sales team.
- Prior experience with handling client service issues.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to address and solve problems, often under duress.
- Ability to operate specific ticketing and database management systems.
- Demonstrated success in communicating, directing, and executing company policies and standards under frequently challenging circumstances.
- Creative experience in developing marketing, promotions, special events, etc. with the goal of cultivating new business opportunities and new revenue streams.
