Job Summary: As a Senior Manager of Retail – Sports, you will be responsible for leading and motivating our teams to provide an unforgettable experience to our guests in our venue retail spaces. The ideal candidate will be an experienced retail operations leader who is focused on people and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high standards of merchandising are maintained at all retail areas
- Coach and lead team members to provide a fantastic guest experience and enhance performance
- Identify and implement plans for continual operational improvement
- Take a hands-on approach to ensure our standards are being executed
- Oversee all retail operational duties – ensure readiness from the moment the first guest arrives to securing all areas upon close
- Supervise team members to ensure high standards are always maintained
- Schedule team members through MyStaff – align labor spend with revenue forecasts to optimize financial performance and guest experience
- Accurate completion and maintenance of inventory to prevent shrinkage
- Maintain communication with key stake holders to ensure client relationships
- Attend management meetings to build collaboration with other departments at all locations
- Maintain a working knowledge of the P&L and assist in forecasting and systems updates
- Handle customer complaints to ensure timely and satisfactory completion
- Process invoices in a timely manner where applicable
- Oversee the rotation of merchandise for different event types to optimize revenue
- Complete team pre-shifts to set the tone for events and keep team members informed
- Plan and manage special event setups and tear downs
- Assist customers as needed – always set an example for team members
- Complete team member progressive discipline as needed
- Ensure compliance with all Payment Card Information rules always
- Complete annual performance and mid-term reviews with team members
- Complete team member orientation training
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in a retail operational position
- High level of computer literacy
- Passion for retail
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management
