Your Opportunity
The Corporate Quality AssuranceSenior Manager is responsible for maintaining quality and food safety programs at the corporate level and consumer manufacturing plants. This is done through supporting the plant QA managers in their growth of quality, food safety and regulatory compliance. In this role your primary responsibilities will include:
- Act as main liaison between Corporate QA and a select group of the Consumer SBA manufacturing facilities.
- Assure the manufacturing facilities are in compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and any other applicable certifications.
- Drive and support each facility's SQMS journey.
- Provide coaching to the respective QA managers.
- Represent Quality and Food Safety to all business teams and serve as a conduit of information
- Participate as a member of the Corporate QA audit team at Smucker facilities and summarize audit findings. May assist on copacker, warehouse, and supplier audits as needed.
- Write and update Quality Doc procedures, policies, and business processes.

What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree is required; a Food Science or related scientific field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of Food manufacturing experience is required
- Minimum of 10 years progressive experience is required, prefer QA/Food Safety for majority
- People management experience is required
- A working knowledge of FDA Regulations, including cGMPs and FSMA
- Solid working knowledge of Quality Assurance, food manufacturing, packaging, processing, and distribution
- Experience with GFSI and particularly BRC certifications
- Willingness to travel up to 35%
- High level of organizational skills
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Prodika, Proficy, SharePoint, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to work in cross-functional & team-oriented environment with multiple disciplines
- Ability to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Detail & process oriented with strong problem resolution abilities
- High emotional intelligence and ability to work with ever changing conditions
- Self-motivated with a high energy level
