Location Description
Post Consumer Brands corporate headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. is about 20 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Lakeville has all the benefits of smaller town living with access to everything a large metropolitan area has to offer. Responsibilities
Overview
In this role, you will provide strategic insights and counsel to the Pet Business at Post Consumer Brands, which includes dynamic brands that are strong contributors to overall company performance.
The successful candidate will be a strong co-partner with the brand, innovation, R&D, and communication teams to identify business and brand-building opportunities. In partnership, you will develop strategic marketing communications, ensure that product and packaging solutions deliver on consumer needs, and uncover innovation platforms.
As a thought leader, you will be seen as the insights expert and guide a learning plan with a robust budget. You will be leading work and collaborating with your partners to drive strong integration of the voice of the consumer by bringing new data-driven and primary research-driven insights to the PCB team. This role will be specifically responsible for leading the Consumer Insights for the portfolio of Pet brands. You will move the team beyond looking at numbers to telling a story about what the data means and what to do next.
In This Role You Will
  • Lead strategy & insight work in partnership with the business unit, delivering forward-thinking and foundational insights that enable short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Partner with the Insights Director to ensure strategies and objectives of the Insights team are executed within the team and with business partners
  • Provide thought leadership and business council to senior-level leaders, by integrating data and insights in a way that grounds and inspires business strategy through storytelling
  • Lead consumer-centric work that can inspire communication and creative strategy, campaigns, and activation
  • Provide deep consumer understanding to develop, optimize, and evaluate innovation opportunities
  • Partner within the Insights team to ensure that the total suite of data and insights are leveraged to address business questions holistically, connecting the dots and synthesizing content
  • Seek out innovative, best-in-class approaches to address business issues, leading to improved research tools, methods, and processes
  • Participates in cross functional business meetings and processes
  • Positively contribute to a collaborative and unique, Post Consumer Brands culture

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA is a plus

Experience
  • 7+ years of market research, inclusive of qualitative and quantitative methodologies
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods, ideally Pet

Other Characteristics
  • Deep knowledge of custom research across a variety of methods
  • Strong executive communication skills, including storytelling
  • Clear results orientation to drive momentum
  • Flexible and able to drive and execute an agenda in a dynamic and fluid environment
  • Broad perspective to pull insights from multiple sources to drive break-through understanding and action plans
  • Demonstrated experience managing external partners and ability to influence without formal authority
  • Strong ability to manage up and across the organization
  • Familiar with leveraging syndicated data (NIQ/Circana/Numerator)
  • Experience using and leveraging trend insights (Mintel, Kantar, etc.)
  • High level of professional maturity

Work Location
  • In-office (Lakeville, MN) with a hybrid schedule.
