How will you make an impact in this role?

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading provider of payments for small, mid, and large corporations globally. The Marketing Strategy and Content team provides strategic thought leadership, engaging content, and enterprise connectivity to fuel impactful, efficient, and cohesive B2B marketing. Within this team, the B2B Content Marketing team drives impact for our customers and American Express by providing differentiated educational and inspiring content that empower businesses.

The Brand Platforms & Partnerships team, a subset of this group, serves as the marketing and measurement Center of Excellence supporting Business Class, our B2B content platform. Business Class is an educational resource for today’s business leaders, providing them with captivating stories, pertinent tips, and enlightening insights from business professionals, industry frontrunners, and adept entrepreneurs. The Brand Platforms & Partnerships team is responsible for Business Class branding, Content Marketing, content distribution, brand partnerships and performance measurement.

Senior Manager of Brand Platforms & Partnerships plays a pivotal role as a marketing leader & cross-functional team collaborator, spearheading the promotional distribution strategies for all Business Class content & programs across Paid, Owned, and Earned Marketing channels. This colleague will collaborate with both Internal Amex teams and External agency partners to maximize the platform’s thoughtful reach and engagement, increasing relevant B2B touchpoints to drive consideration for American Express.

  • Drive Business Class’s distribution engine, setting the strategy and defining the key guiding principles ensuring that content is an integral part of accelerating the business forward.
  • Work with content creation partners to produce high impact integration experiences to support key American Express marketing channels and programs – contributing to brand and sales goals.
  • Lead Business Class integration into GCS Acquisition Channels, including (but not limited to) Paid Media, Direct Mail, Paid Search, and Field Sales.
  • Define and execute Business Class's integration approach into Customer marketing channels, proving the value that content can provide to our Customers.
  • Lead Business Class's integration strategy into Enterprise & GCS (B2B) Enterprise "Heat Moments" to support a cohesive B2B brand narrative for American Express.
  • Act as the Business Class Marketing Process Center of Excellence.
  • Manage and guide a direct report to support all operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of pertinent work experience.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build positive relationships across multiple cross-functional partners.
  • Proven ability to manage and drive forward projects with ambiguity.
  • Exceptional prowess in achieving results against tight schedules, overseeing diverse priorities, and executing flawlessly.
  • Expertise in digital/performance marketing as well as customer marketing strategies– capable of crafting campaigns that resonate with audience segments and inspire actions.
  • Zeal for grasping customer behavior, assessing the external marketplace, and envisioning excellent marketing.
  • Strong data analysis & data-driven storytelling skills to help articulate the Business Class platform’s incremental value, both internally & externally.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred.
  • Enthusiasm and experience in Paid Media channels, including Digital data/ audience strategies, and an eagerness to introduce innovative ones; familiarity across platforms and publishers.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
