A CourtAvenue Senior Manager, Business Innovations (BI) is part of an Account team focused on partnering with our clients, understanding their business needs and championing them within CourtAvenue. Currently, the ideal candidate for this role will be well versed in Shopper Marketing. The Senior Manager, Business Innovations supports BI leadership in assuming full responsibility for their accounts, strategically guiding the business and providing innovative and valuable input to help solve the most complex challenges. The Senior Manager, BI is ambitious, driven to be one step ahead of the client and team, fearless in terms of learning and growing, deeply curious to grow their skills and bring value to the work and possesses excellent communication skills. This person also knows how to build meaningful and constructive relationships across internal and client teams.
Responsibilities:
    • Be the clients' primary point of contact, functioning as a liaison between them and the internal team.
    • Get to know the client, the work and the team so you can get and stay one step ahead. 
    • Be willing to go deep into digital complexities, language, system and tools - eventually becoming fluent in the technical aspects of the clients digital properties.
    • Continuously curious; be proactive about studying areas of the client's digital ecosystem and taking personal responsibility for a learning path to deepen the digital expertise.
    • Lead initiatives from a place of contribution by comprehending client workflows and agency deliverables at a granular level. 
    • Manage multiple responsibilities at once with minimal supervision while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor and positive attitude. 
    • Partner with all disciplines across the agency to ensure support of client work.
    • Generate potential solutions and help overcome obstacles.
    • Act as the voice of the client internally.
    • Provide direction and feedback to the internal team for client work, including brief creation. 
    • Bring a POV to the work and the team. Ensure that it is grounded in strategy, insights from the industry and informed by the client's needs and goals. 
    • Identify opportunities and goals for the client and ensure the work being done by the team is always aligned and focused on achieving these objectives.
    • Communicate project/account progress and challenges in a timely and succinct wayLook for and nurture new opportunities with existing clients.
    • Build case studies of completed work for future business development pitches.
Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Advertising, Communications, or related field
    • 6+ years of related experience, preferably in an agency or marketing services firm
    • Experience in Shopper Marketing; specifically supporting manufacturers' sales across various retailers, with an understanding of what makes different retailers unique
    • Experience working specifically with Amazon and/or Walmart a plus
    • Experience working in collaborative, multi-agency models preferred
    • A strong account management background, including experience leading small and large accounts and/or projects
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams
    • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clients and other stakeholders
    • Strong relationship-building abilities
    • Self-starter with a passionate attitude and sense of commitment to get the job done quickly, properly, and with the highest quality
Work Environment:
    • Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees work in an office environment in the middle of the week and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
    • Candidates for this position will ideally be located near Chicago or Minneapolis. Candidates located in Bentonville, Dallas, and Cincinnati will also be considered.
Note:
    • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
$90,000 - $110,000 a year
