The Airport Operations department keeps operations at our airports running smoothly through planning, organization and supervision.

Job overview and responsibilities

As the Senior Manager – ATW Performance and Execution in Airport Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic execution of the United Next growth plan and AO performance excellence. You will collaborate closely with cross-divisional teams to research, evaluate, and recommend solutions and tools that support the long-term strategic plan of United Next. This includes optimizing operations, supervising hiring, training, recurrent training, facility needs, and more. Your expertise will be critical in finding opportunities for improvement in the airport customer journey and collaborating with cross-departmental leaders to improve the passenger experience. You will also provide regular updates to key executives on the progress of key initiatives.

  • Develop and implement a performance evaluation process, applying both quantitative and qualitative inputs, to recommend analytic solutions and tools that align with the United Next long-term strategic plan, including Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) optimization, hiring practices, training, and facility improvements.
  • Drive process improvements across critical areas of the airport customer journey to bring our long-term vision to life.
  • Collaborate effectively with peers to ensure detailed transitions and address interdependencies.
  • Provide project management support to ensure timely delivery of key achievements in support of our growth plan.
  • Deliver regular updates to key divisional and cross-departmental executives, showcasing progress on key initiatives.

 

NOTE: This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower in Chicago, IL and considered as a hybrid work-schedule working on a 2-days in office schedule, however, that my evolve with the needs of the company.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience driving complex initiatives and/or projects with measurable results
  • Strong ability to build and deliver executive-level presentations
  • Outstanding collaboration skills – a true teammate
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Willingness and able to travel 40% to stations globally
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with PowerBI, Power Apps, Foundry/Palantir, and SQL
  • Background in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research
