Summary
CHS, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a SeniorMaintenance Technician at our Lubricant Plant in Amarillo, TX. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be detail oriented.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all plant machinery including packaging and material handling equipment. Able to lead capital projects to completion in a timely manner.
- Perform maintenance planning and scheduling activities to assign equipment work orders as well as lead the Maintenance team.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Working independently, maintain machinery, equipment, facilities or vehicles as needed and as efficiently and timely as possible.
- Provide work direction and training to less experienced team members.
- Repair and perform preventative maintenance to ensure the most efficient operation.
- Identify and diagnosis problems on equipment and continually monitor equipment while initiating appropriate repair processes.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Inspect parts, replacements, alignment, balancing, installation and refurbishment on a wide variety of equipment.
- Install, maintain, rebuild, replace parts, equipment and machinery and troubleshoot maintenance problems.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- 3+ years of experience in Production, Operations, and/or Maintenance
Additional Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Vocational/technical school training in production maintenance preferred
- Experience in repair and preventive maintenance of plant machinery including packaging and material handling equipment.
- Experience working with:
- Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical controls including PLC's.
- Plumbing
- Steam fitting
- Welding
- Pump maintenance
- General facility maintenance
- Boiler license
- Working knowledge of the operations, control, and functions of equipment and machinery
- Ability to be on-call 24/7
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
- 2+ years of experience as a maintenance supervisor (essential).
- Effective budgeting and performance management.
- Great time management skills along with Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
