Job Description:
The Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Aviation Maintenance Technician will conduct and have the ability to lead aspects of maintenance performed on assigned aircraft and ensure compliance to company policies and procedures regarding airworthiness standards and International Standards - Business Aviation Operations (IS-BAO). Specific duties include, but are not limited to, performing aircraft maintenance, routine maintenance tracking, long term planning, scheduling and completion of maintenance events, and financial responsibility for costs associated with maintenance operations. This position reports to the Chief of Maintenance.
Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead maintenance activities of aircraft to include implementing the maintenance standards, methods, and procedures established by HPE Aviation to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer's recommendations, IS-BAO, and company policies.
  • Lead and coordinate aircraft maintenance personnel (both company employees and non-company personnel) during maintenance events.
  • Ensure aircraft records are maintained, current, and in compliance per CFRs, manufacturing requirements, and company policies-including, but not limited to AD's and Customer Bulletins.
  • Removes known unsafe aircraft and those that do not comply with the CFRs from service, and ensures the airworthiness of aircraft returned to service.
  • Troubleshoot advanced airframe and powerplant systems.
  • Lead the launching and receiving of aircraft and provide assistance with passengers and baggage.
  • Work a flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, late night and early morning departures and arrivals.
  • Be on-call as a point-of-contact on a rotational basis for the flight crew while aircraft is away from base.
  • Accompany aircraft to outside repair facilities to provide maintenance oversight.
  • Provide oversight of aircraft cleaning vendor, ensuring the quality and completeness of the work performed.
  • Ensures ground support equipment and tools are in working order and maintained and/or calibrated as required.
  • Participate and/or lead in Safety Management Systems.
  • Ensure operational readiness of the aircraft with as little schedule impact as practical.
  • Must have good business acumen: ability to interact professionally with company executives. Ability to identify process improvements.
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work without direct management supervision. Must have strong planning and organizational skills, able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Analyze complex situations, problem solve, collaborate with others and manage time under pressure

Physical Requirements
  • Be a highly motivated individual committed to safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Lift and move objects up to 80 pounds and heavier weight at times. The ability to sit, stand, and squat.
  • Must be located or willing to relocate to within 1 hour from the aviation facility.

Required Qualifications and Certifications
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience. FAA A&P Certificate required.
  • 10 years of experience as an airframe and powerplant technician, preferably with experience working in a corporate aviation environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the CFRs and aircraft maintenance standards.
  • Completion of aircraft manufacturer approved training program preferred.
  • Proficient with planning, implementation, and direction of the maintenance programs and control system for the aircraft operated.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required
  • Completion of aircraft manufacturer's approved training program preferred.
  • Recent maintenance experience in Gulfstream large cabin aircraft preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Annual Salary: $75,500.00 - $174,500.00
