Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Facilities Specialist, Sr. is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the warehouse and office space at the Perot Family Campus and other sites, acting as a contact for emergency situations. This position will also assist vendors and provide the support needed to expedite repairs and reduce equipment downtime.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education/Certifications/Licences :
- High school diploma or GED required
- 10-Hour OSHA and Food Safety Manager Certifications a plus
- TDLR refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical license a plus
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision and be responsive
- Strong customer service orientation, time management and organizational skills
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills; English fluency in communications
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and diverse environment
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Outlook and basic knowledge of Excel
- Must be knowledgeable with OSHA regulations
- Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and building management system (BMS) a plus
Experience:
- 3 years of demonstrated commercial maintenance
- Forklift and scissor lift certification preferred
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and/or perform preventative maintenance on all equipment according to the maintenance schedule
- Perform a variety of general electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs to buildings and equipment or appliances; determine when a contractor is required
- Transport goods and/or equipment on company vehicle as assigned
- Assist vendors and ensure quality of service meets NTFB expectations
- Report and/or make recommendations concerning maintenance issues or needs
- Ensure compliance of safety policies and regulations
- Perform routine safety walkthroughs of all buildings; identify and report potential safety hazards
- Complete weekly routine and preventative maintenance of forklift equipment
- Keep utility storage rooms organized and clean at all times
- Monitor temperature in all refrigeration units and report any issues
- Monitor burglar and fire alarm events; take necessary action following company protocols
- Manage setup for all conference rooms and provide support for special events setup
- Provide facilities support and guidance to team members in the supervisor’s absence
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required walk; stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; bend, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds and operate a forklift and scissor lift
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
- Moderate to loud noise (i.e., light traffic business office with open floor plan with computers, phone, and printers, and medium to heavy traffic in the warehouse with forklifts and pallet jacks)
- This position should have the ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures
- Work schedule is Monday – Friday from 8:00AM – 4:30PM, but may be required to work on weekends, holidays and after normal business hours
- Reliable transportation and a valid DL and insurance is required
