JOB SUMMARY
The Systems Engineer acts as primary support and central point of contact for supported solutions. Must have experience with VMWare, Goliath, and Citrix. Actions may have significant impact on business operations. Decisions using independent judgment are frequently required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- High exposure areas include system stability and reliability, problem resolution, and customer service.
- Deals regularly with complex, ill-defined, or unprecedented problems across specific technology areas.
- Systems issues may impact business unit systems and could result in various applications being unavailable, which in some areas could result in financial loss to company, clients, or both.
- Individual is expected to have strong technology skills, good communication and documentation skills, and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with VPNs and Domain management.
- This position has extensive contact with teams throughout the technology and business organizations.
- The position works closely with other technology teams to provide comprehensive solutions and support.
- May work closely with Engineers and Architects, and typically works closely with application development teams for in-house developed applications.
- Often owns technical relationship with vendors
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, business or related field required or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the field of Systems, Databases and Network Administration
- At least 3 years of that experience in that role, directly responsible for working across multiple interconnected systems in a complex setup
PREFERRED
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Passion for designing user-centered experiences are also essential for success in this role

WORKING CONDITIONS/EQUIPMENT USE
- Work is performed indoors in a typical office environment - not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
