Job Title: Senior Loss Prevention Specialist
Salary Range: $20.00/hour - $30.00/hour; Plus bonus eligibility
Summary: Guards the Scotty Cameron Gallery before, during and after operating hours against Loss Prevention, vandalism, fire, unwelcomed visitors and illegal entry. Helps ensure the safety and security of Gallery associates and customers. Helps provide a luxury shopping experience for customers.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains presence in Gallery during operating hours to deter / prevent loss and to respond promptly to any security breaches or risks. Observes departing customers and associates to guard against potential theft of company property. Patrols, periodically, Gallery and surrounding grounds. Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure. Inspects building and equipment to ascertain if tampering has occurred. Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts. Sounds alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Regulates pedestrian traffic in Gallery to maintain orderly flow. If Gallery's occupancy is too full is responsible for making the judgment call to close gallery doors and not let any more customers in until occupancy is back to an appropriate and safe operating level.
- Provide a luxury shopping experience for all customers. Greet customers and may ascertain what each customer wants and/or needs. Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively and interact with customers and guide them to the appropriate area or Gallery staff for assistance. May handle janitorial issues as needed.
- Investigates and prepares reports on accidents, incidents, property damage, unusual occurrences and suspicious activities. Maintains them and provides them to appropriate management.
- Responsible for retrieving and counting cash till in the morning and POS and cash closing procedures in the evening.
- Works with Finance to complete monthly inventory losses.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma. Associate degree or some college preferred as well as a California Guard Card.
- A minimum of five (5) years of related security or military experience. Previous experience providing customer service. Previous training and certification to provide first aid and CPR as needed is preferred.
- Position will require one to be on their feet standing or walking for eight (8) hours in a day or more.
- Must exude "Courage" -Can think and act independently with confidence. Has personal fortitude and integrity when faced with challenges. Must have the ability to be on time, in an impeccably maintained uniform and exhibit exceptional customer service in a Luxury Retail environment. Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors. Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public. Effective oral and written communication skills. Active listening skills. Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively. Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately. Strong attention to detail. Ability to adapt to possible stressful situations. MS Office; knowledge of Word and Excel at a Basic to Intermediate level.
