Job Summary: As Senior Logistics Analyst specializing in Import/Export and Ocean Freight/Drayage, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end movement of goods, coordinating international shipments, managing ocean freight operations, and ensuring efficient drayage services. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth flow of products and materials throughout the supply chain, minimizing delays, and optimizing cost-effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Import and Export Management:- Coordinate and facilitate the import and export processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to manage shipments from origin to destination.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of import and export documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and shipping invoices.
- Oversee and optimize the ocean freight transportation process, from booking shipments with carriers to managing container loading and unloading at ports.
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts with ocean carriers to achieve cost-effective solutions while maintaining service quality.
- Monitor vessel schedules and transit times to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate drayage services for the transportation of goods between ports, rail yards, and warehouses.
- Select and manage drayage carriers, negotiate rates, and monitor performance to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Address any drayage-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions and maintain a smooth flow of goods.
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and lower operational costs.
- Analyze logistics data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop reports for management to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant import/export regulations, trade laws, and customs procedures to minimize risks and penalties.

- Conduct periodic performance reviews with vendors and negotiate service contracts to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Logistics Analyst or similar role with a focus on import/export and ocean freight/drayage operations.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation requirements.
- Strong understanding of ocean freight transportation, container shipping, and drayage services.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle logistics challenges effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Bilingual in Korean strongly preferred.
