Job Overview
We are seeking a Sr. Analyst, Material Program Management for our Canoga Park, CA Office.
Under limited direction, the Senior Analyst will lead Supply Chain Materiel Management (SCMM) and cross functional teams to manage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) activities and provide leadership in establishing a procurement strategy in support of several programs that fall under our Advanced Space & Power Sector. Responsible for effectively leading the functional organization's strategies to balance supply and demand of different sized Bills of Material (BOMs). Support multiple programs simultaneously. Responsible for effectively identifying and working cross-functionally to resolve both ERP and supplier delivery issues that could impact program delivery schedules and financial needs of both the customer / enterprise. Generate and support proposal activity to capture new business. Generate and support monthly material forecasting activities tied to financial goals. Assist with the indoctrination of the Aerojet Rocketdyne Business Operating System that is Data-Driven, Process-Oriented, and Customer-Focused.

Essential Functions
35% - Provide leadership with establishing and driving the implementation of a procurement strategy that is based on data from the ERP/Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems. Effectively present and communicate the procurement strategy progress cross-functionally and to the Program Office highlighting issue / resolution of both supplier and internal constraints that could impact demand satisfaction.
35% - Develop and maintain a detailed time-phased material acquisition plan and consistently monitor plan against production schedule / financial needs. Coordinate and drive release of demand in accordance with MRP recommendations. Develop time-phased material sales forecast based on BOM, Purchase Order, and Requisition Reports to support monthly reporting. Monitor functional progress against established schedules and forecasts utilizing established MRP methodologies and strategies. Consistently and proactively analyze BOM and MRP system data to strategically resolve supplier and internal issues that could impact demand satisfaction and material sales goals.
20% - Coordinate and maintain material acquisition and fabrication status with other functional departments and sites. Coordinate the flow of work between and within departments to support program priorities / demands.
10% - Develop labor and BOM budgets to support proposal activity. Manage and monitor performance against budget utilizing an Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least six (6) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have robust data analytical and project management skills, ability to craft and develop procurement strategies and material acquisition plans, strong presentation and organizational skills to coordinate materials/hardware requirements with multiple departments. Computer skills are required (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Must be able to use formulas in Excel including but not limited to Vlookups and Pivot Tables.
Must have experience with an automated ERP /MRP system (Oracle preferred) and understanding of the overall SCMM (Supply Chain/Material Management) role in the MRP process and preferably experience working in a manufacturing environment, especially aerospace.
Requires U.S. Citizenship. As a Government Contractor, this position requires the employee to have access to premises which are, OR requires the employee to perform duties that are, subject to national security requirements of the United States under government contracts that impose US Citizenship requirements for such positions.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Familiarity with aerospace rocket motor program materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Advanced use of MS Excel is a huge plus.
  • Experience in supporting Proposals including generating labor estimates for Supply Chain support, establishing a Bill of Material, and developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management including budgets and performance management.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
Pay range for this position:
83,000 - 123,000 per year
