Senior IT Systems Architect career opportunity with our client in Melville, NY. This is hybrid in office remote work opportunity for an experienced Systems Architect that is bi-lingual English and Japanese.
Must Have
- Oracle Databases: Hands-on experience with Oracle 11g/12g/19c, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Linux and Shell Scripting: Proficiency in managing Linux environments and scripting using Shell.
- Programming Languages: Strong command over Java, JSP, and J2EE.
- Autosys Job Schedulers: Experience in managing and utilizing Autosys for task scheduling and management.
- ERP System Experience: Experience in operating and enhancing ERP systems, particularly within the context of sales management.
- English and Japanese Proficiency: Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Japanese.
Nice to Have
- Background or experience in financial/accounting operations, beneficial for understanding related ERP functionalities.
- Familiarity with IBM Integration Bus could be advantageous for specific integration-related tasks.
- Relevant certifications or additional education in Systems Architecture or related fields could complement the candidate's qualifications.
Overview:
The Senior IT Systems Architect will define technical standards and design specifications for a specialized technical area. This individual will be working with both the U.S. and Japanese teams to summarize requirements and develop systems. Provides creative and effective solutions to problems and assists in the development of policies and procedures
This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). .

- In the event of a failure, you will receive a call from the operator, analyze the impact of the system, and take a prompt provisional response. After that, if necessary, you will consider the necessity of a permanent response and give instructions to the development team
- Another infrastructure team will handle infrastructure failures, but you will work with them to resolve the issue
- For enhancements, you interact with users, prepare specifications, and give instructions to the development team
- The operations team works in cooperation with the Japanese offshore team
- Japanese offshore team is in charge of night operation on weekdays
- Responsible for the operational design, implementation, configuration, management and use of information systems that will adequately support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization
- Analyzes system requirements and evaluates the needs of one or more functional areas within the ERP system in order to coordinate, implement and communicate business needs into technical requirements
- Defines system architecture including server infrastructure, capacity planning, storage requirements, and networking protocols
- Ensures that architecture project roll-outs meet security standards and be effectively integrated with current applications
- Works on complex technical and business matters
- Educates others in the workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by ERP modules
