Quartz is looking for a cybersecurity professional to join our Information Security Team as a (Senior) Information Security Analyst. The position has the important role of assessing information risk and facilitating remediation of identified vulnerabilities for IT security and IT risk across the enterprise. This person should be knowledgeable of pertinent security laws and regulations, and ensure the organization is compliant.

- Starting salary range based upon skills and experience: $77,200 - $90,000 (will consider Senior level candidates based upon skills and experience: $83,800 - $104,800)
- Conduct in-depth technical reviews of new and existing IT systems to identify the appropriate mitigation strategies required to bring these systems into compliance with established policy and industry guidelines
- Interpret, monitor, and assess security systems and related projects for potential risks or violations, including but not limited to:
- Intrusion protection, secure file transfer, data loss prevention, email encryption, firewalls, log management/correlation, secure password storage/retrieval, application safe-listing, and vulnerability management
- Identifies risk reduction opportunities
- Conduct periodic reviews of deployed security technologies to ensure that the solutions continue to provide the intended protections efficiently and effectively
- Identify, respond to, investigate, and remediate potential breaches and issues surrounding data security. ID gaps in protection and recommend solutions to remediate or mitigate risks associated with the protection gaps.
- Assist with maintaining user access groups for security purposes, managing user security functions
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience in Information Security related positions
- For Senior level, Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience in Information Security relation positions
- Extensive knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft TCP/IP Networking, and security techniques.
- Moderate to complex knowledge of operations analysis of security events within Security Information and Event Management solutions
- Moderate to advanced knowledge with Network Access Control (NAC) and Network Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS); ability to perform IDS/IPS real-time monitoring analysis and/or network forensics
- Moderate to advanced understanding of security monitoring and reporting applications and analyzing threats
- Proficient in working with of a wide array of server grade applications including- Exchange, DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, Active Directory, Identity Management, Patch Management, LDAP, SQL, and others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with other employees as well as vendors
- Ability to understand and discuss technical software issues with others
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, and adapt to change
- Ability to work as part of a team in an environment that facilitates information exchange
- CISSP (Certified Information Security Professional) or related certification preferred (certification required for senior level)
This position can work 100% remotely or from our office in Madison, WI in a hybrid or full-time on-site arrangement, if preferred. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
