The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The graduate CS program is currently ranked 6th and the undergraduate 5th nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. With over 16-degree programs, including its world-renowned online MS in CS, we believe the College to be the largest Computing unit in the United States and, as such, one of the largest producers of computationalist at all levels and of all demographic backgrounds. The College is a part of the Georgia Institute of Technology, a unit of the University System of Georgia and is primarily located in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Summary

Lead and manage an Industry Engagement strategy that results in expansion and deepening of unit relationships across target companies and other business sector organizations. This role will also facilitate corporate involvement in, and support for, a regional network of businesses engaged with the unit on priority topics and initiatives. These relationships and networks will help to advance the unit's corporate engagement program and create a steady state of business sector partners that support achievement of unit academic goals in research and education while elevating external visibility and impact. Job Summary

Serving as part of the College of Computing (CoC) development team, this position supports Industry Engagement strategies that result in expansion of the CoC relationships across target companies and other business sector organizations. This will include but will not be limited to the Corporate Affiliates Partners (CAP) Program and will elevate the program's external visibility and impact. This role will also facilitate industry involvement in, and support for, academic, community, and research programs and initiatives that will advance the mission of the College of Computing. The individual will participate in the corporate philanthropy efforts and will be responsible for coordinating activity, developing strategies, building relationships, and raising funds from businesses and corporations, including corporate capital investments, multi-year partnerships and sponsorships to support events, projects, and special initiatives across the College of Computing schools and centers. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Development in the College of Computing. This position will interact on a regular basis with: corporate executives and recruiters, students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Develop, implement, and manage a business partnership strategy with support from unit leadership and building on existing foundation.
Job Duty 2 -
Achieve long-term corporate affiliation and partnership objectives including, but not limited to, Advisory Boards, research funding opportunities, unit networking/engagement priorities and faculty-Industry Engagement.
Job Duty 3 -
Represent the unit at business events and articulate value proposition to industry targets.
Job Duty 4 -
Navigate administrative requirements and develop supporting outreach and communication materials.
Job Duty 5 -
Liaise with career services to provide information about relevant company-sponsored internships, coops, and job opportunities.
Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Duty 7 -
Identify and initiate discussions with potential partner companies based on program fit and industry. Engage with senior leadership of companies, establishing relationships across multiple stakeholders inside and outside of Georgia Tech.
Job Duty 8 -
Work with GT Development officers to arrange meetings with potential and existing partner companies. Solicit and track monetary gifts for the T&M program.
Job Duty 9 -
Present and explain benefits for new companies, and ensure that existing partnerships are being well maintained in terms of recruitment and ROI on student projects.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Five to seven years of job related experience

Master's Degree

Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.

Ability to handle multiple priorities from various constituents with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to resolve problems independently and work with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.

Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

Demonstrated experience in project management.

Proposed Salary

Pay Information:

FLSA status- Exempt

Salary Range: $81,619 - $96,311

Schedule: Monday - Friday (hybrid)

This job requires strong communication and project management skills, as well as an ability to navigate large, complex organizations in pursuit of unit goals.
