Roles/Responsibilities
- Working at the direction of the I&E lead to develop design drawings, bills of materials and scope of work required to produce construction packages.
- Participate in the development of project scope.
- Execute project while meeting safety, cost and schedule goals
- Participate in Design Reviews as required.
- Be responsible for technical content and interfaces for scopes of work
- Field work and verification.
- Support the project from initial design through construction.
- Prepare final as-built documents and Return to Vault activities.
Experience and Skills Requirements
- 15-20+ years experience
- DCS/PLC Migration Experience.
- Able to apply knowledge of the current National Electrical Code and client standards to electrical design.
- Drawing production including One-line Diagrams, Control Schematics, Wiring diagrams, System plan drawings and associated details.
- Review project drafting standards and documents to assure the drawings and documents are compatible and aligned with the overall project objectives.
- Experience producing wiring diagrams, schematics, single lines, DCS, P&ID’s, loop sheets, control panels and conduit routes
- Must have Plant Experience (Refinery/Chemical) Background.
- Past construction Experience is preferred.
- Person should be able to support small to mid-size I/E projects while working effectively in a small site-based project team.
- Background working fast paced brown field/retrofit projects.
- AutoCAD, Raster CAD, Excel, Word.
- Must be authorized to work in USA
- Local candidate is preferred
- AAS Design/Drafting
- Experience with PLC, DCS, and SIS systems.
- Experience with the design of:
1. Medium and Low Voltage Motors & motor Control Centers, Power Distribution Panels, Wire and Cable, Grounding, Conduit and Cable Tray Systems
2. Electrical equipment plans
3. Conduit and cable plans
4. Conduit and cable schedules
5. Installation details
6. Knowledge of Load calculations to size wire
7. Knowledge of conduit fill calculations
8. Motor control schematics
9. Wiring diagrams
10. Lighting systems
11. Scopes of work
- Ability to work in and foster a strong team environment with minimal supervision

Education requirements
- Associates degree in Design/Drafting or equal work experience in I&E Design/Drafting
