**This position is for our Harper Woods location**
Training will be completed at the Howell, MI location


Primary Job Function:

Assure the company’s policies and practices are consistent within state and federal guidelines. Perform any administrative duties for the Human Resources Department. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by Management.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Administrative responsibilities including but not limited to: filing, data entry, preparing reports, processing status change forms and other HR related documents
  • Coordinate all phases of the employment process as it relates to Human Resources, including: sourcing, screening, recruiting, interviewing, background checks, substance screenings, new hire paperwork, and new hire orientation.
  • Investigate employee concerns, assess the situation involving critical thinking and problem solving to come to a resolution.
  • Administer FMLA.
  • Manage termination processes.
  • Support Thai Summit management by providing information related to HR topics and personnel issues.
  • Conduct internal audits for digital and hardcopy files and conduct internal audits for digital and hardcopy files.
  • Actively work as a liaison between TSAC associates and benefit carriers and administrators.
  • Provide forms and other health and welfare documents to employees, departments, and subsidiaries.
  • Assist in payroll processes and attendance record keeping.
  • Conduct routine floor-walks to connect with associates.
  • Administer all updates/posting to TSAC social media accounts.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation process.
  • Administer and coordinate monthly performance reviews for all associates.
  • Investigate employee concerns, assess the situation involving critical thinking and problem solving to come to a resolution.
  • Schedule and process all travel arrangements.
  • Support management by providing information related to Vacation, Non-Production, Sick-Time, and personal leave issues.
  • Complete all necessary filing and record keeping.
  • Conduct trainings and schedule external off-site trainings.
  • Complete all uniform orders and requests.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Preferably has a Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management or related field or equivalent level of experience, training and education
  • Preferably has a PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
  • Employee relations experience in a manufacturing environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Human Resources laws, policies, procedures and terms
  • Employment Law compliance
  • Conformance to confidentiality requirements concerning employee information and company-sensitive information
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office Suite, ERP Systems, and HRIS systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
  • Demonstrate excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with coworkers and cross-functionally with partners outside of the team to enable high performance
  • Must be able to make effective decisions in ambiguous circumstances
  • Must have general knowledge of HR laws including the NLRA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, AA, etc.
