Job Summary
The Senior GIS Business Analyst for the Planning & Engineering team will be primarily responsible for GIS and financial analysis support as well as supporting desk quote cost estimation processes. This position requires a high level of detail and strong familiarity with GIS tools (such as QGIS and ArcGIS).
Responsibilities

• Serves as the subject matter expert on GIS projects and solution definition for various projects taking place within the Construction team
• Identifies new GIS technologies or solutions as required
• Organize and complete large spatial analyses supporting market expansion programs within Altice
• Work with non-GIS leaders and teams to effectively explain the meaning behind maps, overlaps of territories, and publicly available information through the FCC or other sources
• Present in power point form or live demonstration data points related to homes passed, franchise boundaries, overlaps of competitors, and the identification of unserved or underserved homes based on state or county guidelines through federally funded broadband programs
• Partners with internal and external teams to research, analyze, present, and recommend solutions related to QOZB or new market expansion
• Enhance, maintain, and distribute applicable KPI's to senior leadership
• Serve on short-term committees supporting various ad hoc projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business (or relevant work experience)
• Experience with GIS software solutions and applications such as QGIS and ArcGIS is a plus
• 1 year of work-related experience with exposure to data analysis
• Excellent analytical aptitude with a strong attention to detail
• Experience in buildings maps and modeling information in GIS systems is preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint required
• Ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of raw data
• Must operate independently, proactively and with minimal supervision
