SENIOR FULL-SACK DEVELOPER
JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Salary Exempt
JOB OVERVIEW:
M@C Discount buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products and then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. As the Senior Full-Sack Developer, you will be responsible for the user interface of our website and mobile applications. You would be expected to have a working knowledge of CSS, JavaScript and a basic understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design. Duties will include turning wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code and building high-quality UI components with scalability in mind. You will also be responsible for implementing new features to our website and mobile applications, handling the integration of 3rd party libraries, and performing routine maintenance and performance optimizations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build web applications with web development best practices
- Transform app designs into front-end code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design
- Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
- Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of ReactJS JavaScript framework
- Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Bootstrap
- Familiarity with CSS preprocessors such as Sass, Less, or Stylus
- Working knowledge of SEO principles
- Experience with build tools such as Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack
- Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing
