DEPARTMENT:SYSTEMS FABRICATION & REPAIR
JOB TITLE: SENIOR FLUID POWER TECHNICIAN
SUMMARY: The Senior Fluid Power Technician position works with our Fluid Power engineering group and our Fluid Power Technicians to assemble and test Fluid Power and lubrication systems. The senior technician oversees other Fluid Power Technicians to ensure jobs are being built properly and answers questions relating to the fabrication and completion of jobs. The Senior Fluid Power Technician also works with our repair manager to oversee disassembling, inspecting, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic components sent in for repair.
SKILLS & DUTIES:

- Oversee Fluid Power Technicians to ensure jobs are being laid out and built properly.
- Answer questions from other Fluid Power Technicians regarding the proper application of Fluid Power products.
- Prepare Fluid Power Technicians for field activity to ensure that they have all that is required for the job. Travel with technicians as necessary to train on fieldwork.
- Work with Fluid Power engineers on job layouts and Fluid Power best practices for quoting.
- Read and understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
- Understand function of hydraulic/pneumatic components.
- Understand Fluid Power formulas.
- Welding and fabrication skills (drilling, milling, grinding, MIG welding, painting, and cut-ff saw operation.)
- Ability to make hose assemblies and tube assemblies to print or specifications.
- Ability to layout, fabricate, and test Fluid Power systems to print or engineering specifications.
- Ability to disassemble, inspect, repair and test hydraulic components to factory specifications.
- Ability to install and commission lubrication systems on On and Off-road equipment per specifications and requirements.
- Perform installation, start-up assistance, and trouble-shooting support at custom sites as required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer skills
- Must be willing to travel when required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma, Associate Fluid Power degree and minimum 5 years experience in Fluid Power industry.
