Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to our direct client, a global pharmaceutical company in Irvine, CA.
Title: Senior Finance Manager (Contractor)
Pay Rate: $60/hr (W-2)
40 hours/week, Mon-Fri
Description: Senior Finance Manager will be a critical component in the finance team. Influence business decisions based on analyses in order to meet or exceed financial commitments in the forecast and strategic plans. Provide financial leadership and guidance to business partners and finance staff as well as ensure that appropriate financial processes and systems are in place in accordance with local government laws and corporate policies. Act as the key point of contact for the business and play a critical role in driving sales and profitability, as well as evaluating programs, pricing and commercial initiatives. Responsibilities include performing sales and profit analytics, leading meetings with selling and marketing leaders, interacting with finance management and other functional areas throughout the organization including preparation of ad hoc materials used in senior level reviews. Responsible for providing oversight, direction, and financial leadership to their team and the broader finance organization.
Responsibilities:
• Presentation and Business Reviews: including leadership team meetings, HOB (Health of Business Dashboard), etc.
• Organizational Development: responsibility for direct oversight and development of direct reports.
• Budgetary and decision support including close responsibility, financial planning/forecasting, identification and elimination of non-value-added activities to achieve continuous improvement, etc. This includes direction, oversight and reporting for expenses, accruals and capital requests.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance to Sarbanes Oxley requirements and supporting compliance processes.
• Responsible for financial analysis of costs, pricing, variable contribution (margin), and analysis of sales results.
• Partners cross functionally to develop solutions to a variety of commercial items with varying levels of scope and complexity.
• Exercise discretion within defined procedures and practices to assess appropriate courses of action.
• Act as liaison with external firms when appropriate and analyze company actual performance vs. business plan, which may include pricing, profitability, and variances analysis.
• Develop strategies to meet finance group objectives by leading operation and cost-effectiveness of systems and programs.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree preferably with a major in Accounting, Finance, or any related business is required
• Sales forecasting is required
• A minimum of 7 years accounting or related business experience
• SAP experience preferred
• An Advanced degree or certification such as CPA, CMA, and/or MBA is preferred
• Experience in Commercial Sales/Marketing support is preferred
• Proficiency with common Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP functions) is required
• People management experience is preferred
• Proven leadership skills with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and ability to lead a project or team and deliver results through others is required
• The ability to think strategically and creatively and work in a team environment is required
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills is required
