Each year, we welcome more than 20,000 babies across the system and care for the most fragile in one of the nation's largest neonatal intensive care units.Last year, the healthcare system provided more than $782 million in total value to the communities it serves in the form of charity care, community benefit programs and services, and community building activities.Position Overview:The Senior Director of Facilities Management plans, organizes and directs the enterprise-wide Facilities Management activities of Orlando Health.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions* Develops and aligns the Facilities Management department strategy to the goals and objectives of theorganization.* Develops strategies to provide consistent Facilities Management programs and processes across the enterprise with a focus on integration and acquisition of external partners.* Develops metrics to measure productivity and financial performance for corporate Facilities Management and the Central Energy Plants using industry benchmarking tools and technologies.* Collaborates closely with Real Estate and Facility Development on strategies in support of Asset Strategy's goals and objectives.* Cultivates a long-term capital improvement/replacement plan by developing and implementing a Building Condition & Life Cycle Assessment for all owned assets.* Coordinates corporate Sustainability, Resiliency & Energy reduction initiatives with focus on reducing costs and carbon footprint.* Implements policies and procedures relative to Facilities Management and facilities to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, guests, and team members of all Orlando Health facilities.* Directs and coordinates Facilities Management programs to include training, programs and processes, equipment, and staff to facilitate a Facilities Management program throughout the organization.* Plans and directs the implementation of corporate Facilities Management's short and long-term goals, objectives, and strategies.* Provides relevant advice, support, and information to the organization's executive & administrative teams on legal and regulatory changes that affect Orlando Health Facilities Management operations.* Ensures the proper distribution of assignments and adequate staffing, space, facilities, and resource allocation for subsequent performance of duties.* Possesses the ability to compile, review and summarize federal, state, and local regulations that affect the safe operation of Orlando Health.* Coordinates the preparation of operational reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Develops executive-level briefings, reports and communications as needed.* Maintains effective liaisons with local outside planning and enforcement agencies, i.e., Law Enforcement, Emergency Operations planners of government agencies, Agency for Health Care Administration and The Joint Commission.* Collaborates with Corporate Safety to coordinate Environment of Care (EOC) and Life Safety audits, inspections and relevant standards including evaluations and recommendations as appropriate related to facility safety.* Reports all relevant information regarding Facilities Management functions and potential risk information through the function of the Environment of Care Executive Council.* Performs other related duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, Asset StrategyQualificationsEducation/TrainingBachelor's Degree. Master's Degree preferred.

Must have a degree in a related technical field such as engineering, design, building/energy management, construction, or similar field. Professional experience in these areas may be considered in lieu of the formal degree when applicable.Licensure/CertificationCertified through the American Hospital Association or other recognized institution in the field of FacilitiesManagement. One or more certifications such as CHFM, CPMM or other credentialing such as CHSP, OSHA, FEMA and the National Safety Council is required.ExperienceTen (10) years of progressively responsible management experience in Facilities Management, Life Safety, or a related field.

Five (5) years of management experience required. Healthcare experience strongly preferred.Education/TrainingBachelor's Degree. Master's Degree preferred.
