NEPA Environmental Analyst - remote/45% travel, direct support to Fed GOV:
7+YoE w/5yrs as a final EA/EIS preparer (project citations required). 5-yr work potential!
Fed GOV requires US Citizenship.
- Environmental planner or scientist that is a self-starter with duties that include technical analysis and documentation, environmental compliance, agency and public outreach, and client communication.
- Preparation of environmental documentation, specifically Categorical Exclusions (CATEX), Environmental Assessments (EAs), and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), for federal agencies to meet the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other federal review requirements, including Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
- Resume must include a supplemental NEPA experience page. Supplemental page must include two sections, one for EAs and one for EISs. For each, include specific title of the action, lead agency, your role and year final document completed. For each EA and EIS, provide federal agency reference and phone number along with link to the final document. If link for EA is not available provide reason.
- Applicant must have experience preparing an EA.
- Prefer applicant have experience working on an EIS Must provide federal agency reference that can confirm role.
- Use of environmental planning theories and practices as well as compliance with NEPA and other environmental laws and regulations.
- Environmental documentation reviews, stakeholder engagement support, environmental permitting support, and remediation support.
- Records management support for NEPA documentation.
General Qualifications
a. Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Engineering, or related field.
b. Applicant must have 7 or more years of related work experience.
c. Applicant must have contributed substantially to at least 5 EAs or EISs in the in the last five years, as documented by being included on the list of preparers in the final EA or EIS.
d. Must have experience with online databases (i.e. NEPAssist) from regulatory and governmental agencies to support NEPA and environmental analysis.
e. Ability to work independently, with general direction and a minimum of supervision.
f. Must be available for up to 50% travel throughout the US
